Purpose:

To establish a policy for appropriate use of apparatus bay doors.

Policy:

During the winter season, the apparatus bay doors should remain closed at all times to prevent heat lost from the stations.

To maintain security of stations, if an employee is the last one out, he/she will make sure all apparatus bay doors are closed prior to leaving.

Apparatus bay doors shall not remain open after dark unless an employee is working in the bay area.
