Purpose:

The purpose of this SOG is to minimize radio traffic.

Policy:

Apparatus will only mark on the air for emergency and public service calls.

Apparatus shall not mark on the air out of quarters. If apparatus is out of quarters when a call is received, those units will mark responding, stating his/her location.

Apparatus being removed from service for extended periods of time will be marked out-of-service. See SAP ADM 04-003.
