Purpose:

The purpose of this policy is to establish a standard set of guidelines for off duty personnel remaining at the stations.

 

Policy:

If career personnel make the decision to remain at either station during off duty hours, then it’s assumed he/she is available for incidents.

 

If he/she is requested to respond to an incident by the officer on duty, he/she will be compensated.

 

At no point, will an employee refuse to respond to an incident if asked by the officer on duty.
