Purpose:

The purpose of this guideline is to establish the patient care protocols that are utilized by both the Wintergreen Rescue Squad and Wintergreen Fire Department.

 

Policy:

Both agencies are located in the Thomas Jefferson Emergency Medical Services Council (TJEMS) region.

 

As agencies within this region, all providers will adhere to the Regional Protocols / Guidelines set forth by the TJEMS Council.

 

Each provider will be given a field guide copy of these protocols as stock allows.

 

The protocols / guidelines may also be found online along with many other resources at www.tjems.org.

 

Any deviation from these protocols must be approved by the department’s Operating Medical Director.
