Ridge Drive - Car Fire

Wintergreen Fire Department had the opportunity to help out our neighboring county with a report of a vehicle fire. The fire department was dispatched to a vehicle fire in Augusta County that was reported to be spreading into the nearby woods. Engine 61 arrived on scene to find a truck that was fully involved and approximately a 1/4 acre of woods also on fire. Crews on scene were able to get a quick knock down on the fire and a fire line was raked around the woods fire to prevent it from spreading. Units on scene were Engine 61, Attack 61, and Chief 2. Wilson Fire Department also responded with a tanker and attack truck, but were later put in service.
