Vehicle Fire - Rte 250 (Rockfish Gap Tpke)

Wintergreen Fire Department was dispatched to possible vehicle fire on Rte. 250 near the top of Afton Mountain. Units arrived on scene to find a single vehicle fully involved with fire moving up the hillside into the woods towards the Interstate. Fire was knocked down and vehicle removed from the roadway. Units on scene were Rockfish Fire and Rescue, Wintergreen Tanker 62, Nelson County Sheriffs Office, and Waynesboro Police Department.
