Vehicle Fire - Rte 151 near Greenfield Rd

Wintergreen Fire Department started out early today when we were dispatched to a vehicle fire on Rte. 151 near Greenfield Road in Afton. Sheriff’s Office on scene stated that the vehicle was fully involved with gas leaking down the driveway that was on fire headed toward the road. When units arrived they were able to get a quick knock down and remained on scene for a while to ensure the fire was out. Units on scene were Nelson County Sheriffs Office, Wintergreen Fire Tanker 62, Chief 62, and Rockfish Fire Tanker 52. There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident.
